Beach Musings

I went to the beach today to sketch some ideas I have for some oil paintings, want to go back to work on some watercolour sketches including the Dunes and the local flora and fauna into the composition.

The weather was very mild, a little overcast. It was very quiet, late afternoon and no one around except the odd walker. It can have quite a haunting feel at this time of day. Elsa my faithful dog was with me to keep me company. There are so many possibilities for compositions from different angles and from different view points. Will try a few quick loose watercolour sketches tomorrow with the aim of creating interesting ideas for larger oil paintings. Well thats the plan anyway!
